Is it that they just don't WANT to hear JK's message
or is it that the anti-Kerry people genuinely believe that he doesn't have one?

I'm not sure how to interpret this point that's even being spouted by Geov Parrish, Greg Palast and Eric Blumrich, not just the uninformed Helen Keller dumbasses that have the Kool-Aid IV glued in and stayin'.

I mean, Kerry explained each plan last night in a brief summary; obviously it takes a lot longer than 2 minutes to summate timelines and minute detail, but he touched on restructuring and subsequent withdrawl from Iraq, with a reasonable timeline, acknowledgement of Sudan, improvement of foreign policy, appealing to our allies, how to contain nuclear proliferation, etc, etc. What more did they want? He answered nearly every question asked with clear and concise responses. Again, I'm not even getting the whole "draw" or "Kerry came off as weak" arguments at ALL.

I really do believe these people want things in folksy soundbites. Did they not listen carefully, or did they just not WANT to listen?

1. They don't want to hear his message...
... that's what I get from the GOPers around me. I work in a very conservative office (Brokers... what do you expect?) and they just seal up like clams when Kerry's message starts going out.

On the very rare occasions they attempt to debate with Kerry (funny because JK isn't in the office to respond) They can't even get what Kerry is saying correct or they pick on half of a sound bite.

It's really sad... depressing actually.

4. From Parrish . .
Kerry also showed a not very good understanding of how to communicate a message. It's a shame months together on the campaign trail haven't taught him John Edwards' rhetorical skills with an audience. Not only did Kerry do a not especially great job of rebutting Bush, but he also didn't seem to get it that strengthening alliances is important, but it is not, in his audience's mind, the most important thing possible.

Again . . . WHAT was he watching??

6. he had to have been watching the debate...
... that exists only in his small pointed head, or Rove's hand has been surgically installed up Parrish's ass.

2. I don't get it either. People who don't understand Kerry's views on Iraq
by now are never going to. Kerry did an good job last night re-iterating what he has said all along- he used straight, direct, relatively unambiguous language but the Bush lovers still don't get it. Poor bastards are almost too stupid or too blind to be able to cope with life's challenges.

3. i think the bushco and the media
know what Kerry "means" and what his message is and what he is saying but they want everyone else to go "what a minute maybe he still isn't being clear" when its SO obvious where he stands...

Edited on Fri Oct-01-04 12:47 PM by JI7
him to say. that's a whole difference from making claims which repeat right wing talking points of saying he has nothing to offer which they often do.
