What's your local media saying?
Mine had on two debating coaches.
"Both did well. Bush looked more at ease"
"Kerry had high expectations, and he may have come close to meeting them, but overall a tie."

WTF? The media is, as Jon Stewart said, "Going to tell us we didn't see what we saw".

2. Were You Expecting Different?
A "tie" or "wash" means a win for Kerry. The media was all set to bury Kerry last night if only Chimpster cooperated. Instead they had to build up the boy-king lest they looked totally stupid.

We aren't going to get a break from this media until we break them...but that's another topic for another time.

3. Bullshit from local rag
SO, the local Gannett corporate mouthpiece has, as "local reaction":

1. The head of the Tompkins Co. Republican Party

2. An idiot father and son who, in early series of interviews on other issues, while claiming to be democrats, came out against Kerry as being no different than Bush.

Note who is NOT there: No one who is from the Democratic Party.

So it's stacked. Of course the hack who heads the GOP is going to spin pro Bush no matter what.

And what a surprise:

Local viewers give win to Bush

ANDREW TUTINO
Journal Staff

ITHACA -- Two Democrats and the chairman of the Tompkins County Republican Party all agreed that Thursday's debate between President Bush and Senator John Kerry favored the president.

At the invitation of The Journal, Democrats Larry and Nathan Shinagawa, and Republican Mark Finkelstein shared their views on the Bush-Kerry debate, with all three men feeling that Kerry missed an opportunity to gain favor with voters.

<more bullshit...>

5. WSB Radio here in Atlanta only read the negative
comments about Kerry. Of course, they are entirely right wingers. But their poll showed that Kerry won the debate.
