why I think the debates are a waste of time.
First of all we all know chimpy is going to lose the debates like he did in 2000 and of course the pukes will spin and say that W didn't drool on himself too many times so he won. Anyway, I think the whole process is nothing more then a show the whole thing is scripted and they have time to prepare answers I would much prefer no script and all questions from the audience with no pre-screening. That way we would get to see Kerry speak from the heart and chimpy desperately try to string two words together. What do you guys think?

1. What we got is a shameful democracy ran...
by shameless and greedy elite and corporate media. It is a big waste of time. We can watch it and think of it as a regular show, if you like shows like Survivors, etc crap. Too bad the world is watching and they know the Statesman of the two will be satanized by the media. I think our country is going down hill and fast.

2. I think we should quit carping...
... about how the debate means "nothing," and see it as the opportunity that it is. This is JK's chance to speak directly to tens of millions of voters -- something we've wanted for a long time now.

8. I dunno. Let's wait and see how it goes.

Maybe this will be the night that vaults JK into a landslide win.

I don't know yet. Do you? If not, what's the point of helping the repug spin that this is meaningless?

6. I'm With You... Defeatism Sucks.....
Reagan was way more popular than AWOL and when Mondale beat him in the first debate the masses acknowledged it....

3. You're right
And that is why it is so scripted.
Controlled environments are all * can handle. He has set it up to mirror his speeches. He knows how good Kerry is just being himself, and did whatever he could to keep Kerry from shining. But I believe Kerry will win anyway.

5. The Debates, as Lame as they Are, Are The Only Chance We've Got
to get our message out to the people.

The media has almost blacked us out.

with you, this 'debate' has been watered down so much that it is really nothing more than a two hour infomericial.
