Mary Matalin, rolling the "debate dice" on Bush's Base and the sheep
http://www.cnn.com/2004/ALLPOLITICS/09/30/debate.main/index.html

Mary Matalin, an adviser to President Bush's campaign, expressed confidence in the incumbent, saying, "We feel like we're in a good position in this debate ... because the president knows what he thinks, why he thinks the way that he does, what he wants to do in the future, where he wants to lead the nation, and that stands in stark contrast to his opponent."

No matter the rules, Matalin said, and no matter how great a debater Kerry is, the senator "will be disadvantaged in the debate."

"The problem for Senator Kerry is that he, his record and his campaign has been inconsistent ... and the challenge for Senator Kerry at this debate is to bring some clarity to his massive vacillation throughout this campaign, particularly on the issues most important to Americans, that is national security," she said. "He has been all over the board, I think he has 10 distinct positions on Iraq."

3. Second that.
If any of these rectum licking shills were to tell the truth, I think they would probably spontaneously combust.

Politicians lie. It's not a new concept. What is new is the acceptable standard to which we've allowed them to sink. I've never seen so many lies, repeated by so many people, especially journalists who should know better. Unbelievable!

2. So tell me Ms. Matilin
What are his positions? Here's a chalkbaord, let's list them all out and see if they are 10 distinct positions or 10 distinct distortions of Kerry's position?

What we will see is President Bush repeating himself over and over and over again, because he "knows what he stands for."

4. ...hmmm. Bush IS leading then;
Senator Kerry has 10 distinct positions and the Shrubster has offered TWENTY THREE differing reasons for attacking Iraq.

Now, Ms.. Matalin, is that a flip or a flop?

5. that was EXACTLY my reaction. I'm sure if she were asked this she'd
articulate 3 or 4 "positions" and then change the subject, and none of the "positions" would be correctly stated. Or she'd say "why don't you ask that of HIS people?" and the journalist would meekly drop it.
