I hope Kerry compares * to his father tonight.
My fantasy line:

"Mr. President, my biggest mistake regarding Iraq was believing that you were at least half the man your father was. When he said he was going to get our allies on board, he meant XX number of countries, not X. When he said he was going to get our allies to help, he meant they were going to pay XXX dollars, instead of us paying X. When he said the world was with us, he meant our allies were going to provide XXX troops, instead of X. Your father delivered when he promised diplomacy; you sir, did not."

Or words to that affect.

1. Absolutely - This would enrage GWB
It is so clear that GWB has issues w his father - his whole career has been about one-upping the old man. I love the pale imitation line of attack.

6. This is the best...
... idea I've heard yet. I've long believed that Iraq had more to do with little George trying to prove he's a man to his dad than anything else. That ought to trip his trigger :)

2. "Sir, I know George Herbert Walker Bush,
and you're no George Herbert Walker Bush."

that oughta do it.

4. NO...
I don't want him to do that because if he starts talking about the wonderful alliance that GHWB aligned it will be the perfect opening for Bush to question why Kerry voted against that war.

5. And then Bush would have violated "The Rules"
against no direct questions, and then Kerry could GO IN FOR THE KILL.

8. I disagreed with his decision to stop short in 1991
but I admired his guts, and I respected his reasoning for making the decision he did. I still do.

Of course, that's one of the few things about 41 I did respect and admire, and it didn't change my mind one iota that he had to go in '92.

9. He DEFINITELY had to go in 92!
I also respected the way he handled the war, even as I despised his domestic agenda. So far the only thing I've liked about the current guy is the "Do Not Call" list!
