IMUS: Kerry is "MY candidate". Hold me.
Edited on Tue Sep-28-04 07:28 AM by tjdee
One of the other guys said Kerry looked like he was George Hamilton, not a good looking guy, and Imus said "I resent you talking about my candidate like that". When they went to commercial he played a clip of Kerry talking about the war... Yesterday, which I thought was a fluke, Imus was talking about Kerry as "my candidate" as Bo Dietl (whoever he is) was huffing and puffing about Muslims.

Am I losing my mind? Is he kidding? Don "I'm a jerk" Imus is voting for John Kerry? That's amazing. If Howard Stern and Don Imus (who hate each other, for one thing) can unite for Kerry, I say we're not looking too shabby.

Good God he just called Michael Moore and Al Franken "my boys" who put out the word on the Saudis, so why is the price of oil so high?
I have just stepped into the Twilight Zone.

1. Imus has said that from Day One.
I'm not sure I believe him, but that's his spin.

2.  yes...Imus has been saying this...
for awhile now. He gotta little ticked off at Kerry for not coming out stronger against the Swiftboat Liars in August and went back to the neutral position but other than that he has always said Kerry was his choice.

3. He may be voting for Kerry, but he does much more damage than good
because all he does is talk trash about him. Like when they were playing the clip of Kerry talking about his position on the war, he was shaking his head.

He's just a stupid piece of shit.

4. I think he just does it as part of his
routine. His comments have done a lot more to hurt Kerry than help him. I sure wouldn't want anyone like that supporting me! I think Stern's support is genuine, but I think Imus is all an act.

5. he also says Kerry will lose...
It drives me nuts..he states he is going to vote for him BUT he says he will lose anyway....ignorant...

I think the media...(with the exception of Howard stern and aar) is spinning so hard for *....its sickening..even when Imus says he is voting for Kerry he has to doom him by saying he will lose...

6. Kerry looks like "George Hamilton"?!!
They're both tan! And they are both good looking in their own way.

Great! imus has done a turn around..I'm pretty sure he was a bush guy last time around!

And oh yeah..bless Howard Stern!

8. Imus has always favored Kerry. He got mad at him because
his train didn't stop at Imus' ranch but he got over it when Kerry appeared on his show. Most of these guys switch around a bit in their verbage to tease their audiences. Imus also likes Edwards - he says Elizabeth Edwards is his favorite of everyone in the political arena.

9. Don Imus is a long-time Republican.
He has acknowledged this on his show. He pretends to support Kerry, but he has no sincerity. It is all just a game to him. He will say that he supports one candidate one day, and then find some reason to no longer support him another day. I pay no attention to his opinions anymore; but I do watch him occasionally because he does manage to get some interesting people on his show, including Kerry.

10. With "friends" like Imus you don't need enemies
He is a two-face jerk! He claims he supports Kerry and then talks about him a few minutes later. Today was the first time I have heard him say something really negative about Bush though. He said that Bush looked like a gorilla all hunched over yesterday saying how he was ready to debate. Imus said that was a lie because he is doing everything he can to keep from debating (talking about the 32 pages of stipulations). Usually he talks about Cheney (who he calls pork chop) and Rumsfeld (who he calls a war criminal) and says how much he likes Bush. Of course minutes after he said this about Bush he called Kerry Senator Goofball!. So I would not trust Imus as far as I could toss him. He is not a true supporter of Kerry. If he were there is no way he could say some of the things he says even if he was upset.

11. IMUS has caused more damage for Kerry than good....
He's been tonguing and cheeking this all along.....

His last interview with Kerry included mostly idiotic questions....no insight....nothing positive. Meanwhile Kerry was perfectly clear on how to set a better course of action in Iraqi...doing things specifically to obtain control on the ground. IMUS played up his comments that he wouldn't know what to expect on the ground after the election.....obviously as a result of Bush dropping the ball, insurgents growing everyday...etc etc.

Imus is on the general bandwagon that Kerry can't articulate a position....which is mindless.

Howard Stern is clear and focused.

As a result of all of this...I've been listening more to Stern...and finding that I actually do get more entertainment. It's kind of like the 3 stooges...you have to get past the pokes and jabs and then you do see the real humor there.

12. Still don't like that drunkard.
I put him in the same room as Chris Matthews. You don't say slimey things about Clinton and expect people not to forget.
