1. I was watching this and turned off the tube. This is a joke.
Gallup will be run out of business once Kerry wins the election.

3. It's Counterintuitive For Starters...
The more you expand the universe of potential voters the better Democrats usually do...

Democrats usually poll better among adults than they do registered voters and better among registered voters than likely voters.

8. I'm with you Vickie
Every weekday I watch Inside Politics until I can't take thier BullS*** anymore.
I set a new record today when I turned it off after 2 minutes of them treating Gallup like it's the bible.
Than I came over to my computer for some sanity at DU.

9. Gallup poll logic--simple...
They oversample Republicans to cook the numbers.

I'll bet when we see the demographics, it'll be something like 39% Republican, 32% Democrat, and whatever% other.

6. She reported it as the sky is falling for Kerry, but if you look at even
their last poll, Kerry's #s are up 2 and Bush's down 2. The last Gallup had Bush 55 LV and Kerry 42 LV.

18. USA Today's headline is "Bush"s Lead Drops in Poll"
Yet CNN chose to see it an entirely different way, to Bush's advantage!

10. I wonder why CNN didn't look at Gallup's trend chart for the 2000 race
and see the wild margin shifts and point out the poll that gave bush a 13 point lead a few days before the elction...

hmm...

14. They are so volatile
I don't think I'd pay attention to them even if Kerry was ahead. They simple don't make much sense.
