Did anybody see Russert's interview on Face the Nation?
He asked General Abizaid how many more troops would be needed and then asked him how many Iraqi troops and security forces were ready to go. The general went on and on and on but no answer. What gives with these interviewers? Are they smoking dope? Can't they be tough on these people? Or is their attention span so limited they can't even remember what question they asked? I only began to notice this after last week's interview on Meet the Press where Schiffer let another of Bush's lackeys escape without answering the question.

Liberal Media HAH! More like incompetent media.

2. No ..... they are not smoking dope. They are greedy fascist Bush shills,
who do not care whether democracy goes down the tube, whether the middle class is wiped out, whether bush is a liar and an incompetent twit.

They know and probably expect some favorable Bush pay back to them, for they know that Bush will pay back their service to him with a favor; while they also know that they could have hell to pay back to Bush IF they were not to toe the Bush line.

They are expecting to line their pockets and coffers with silver dollars wrought in the blood of many Americans, not only of those soldiers killed in the Iraq occupation, but in the blood of many Americans who will no longer have social security to fall on as they reach retirement age, Medicare, or any other sort of social programs which have been instituted and implemented as a safety net for those of us who are not members of the top 1% of America's richest.

They are, pushing the great divide in America while claiming to be, just like Bush, great compassionate men. They are the false prophets of our corporate media.

:)
