Bush pushes need to confront terror in Iraq

<snipped>

“Let’s say you tried to have an election and you could have it in three-quarters or four-fifths of the country. But in some places you couldn’t because the violence was too great,” Rumsfeld said at a Senate Armed Services Committee hearing.

“Well, so be it. Nothing’s perfect in life, so you have an election that’s not quite perfect. Is it better than not having an election? You bet,” he said

2. I doubt that the nonvoters are going to feel very friendly to the new
government they get after a rigged election. I have a feeling that it won't fly like it did here in 2000.

4. "bush pushes need to confront terror in Iraq"
this statement irritates me. during his press conference he just kept saying Iraq was the center of fighting terror, we gotta fight the terrorists in Iraq so we don't fight them here, blah blah blah

If I remember correctly there wasn't a big terrorist problem in Iraq before we started this war.

Sorry I got off subject of Rummy - he is nuts. I guess their election will be like ours in 2000 - everyone will not get a vote that counts.

Glad we are bring our brand of democracy to Iraq.

Freedom is on the march!
