Allawi is a Puppet of Bush. The Iraq election will be a coronation

without a viable, supportable opposition.

Is there a party or candidate that our campaign could or should support there? I wonder if Kerry will have to bend to a stacked election.

What role should our government play in facilitating opposition parties participation as Bush will assuredly accord Allawi and his lackeys full promotion and support?

Here are some of the parties in Iraq:

Iraqi National Congress (INC), co-founded by Ahmad Chalabi
Association of Muslim Clerics
Assyrian Democratic Movement
Iraqi Communist Party
Iraqi National Accord
Iraqi National Congress
Islamic Al-Da'wah Party
Kurdish Democratic Party
Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK)
Supreme Council for the Islamic Revolution in Iraq (SCIRI)
Iraqi Islamic Party,
Iraqi Hezbollah,
Dawa, a Shiite party.

How will we get out of Iraq with a Bush puppet in the position to approve the establishment of permanent U.S. bases, indefinite, continuous U.S. military meddling, and the resulting casualties?

4. The Shah of Iraq
His Chimperial Majesty, in keeping with the tradition of his Poppy, needs a brutal dictator in Iraq. The secular strong man Saddam Hussein fulfilled this need for decades. We needed him so badly that we looked the other way when he was filling those mass graves back in the 80s -- the mass graves which NOW Little George suddenly is all worked up about.

When Saddam got too independent, he had to go.

Therefore -- the "liberation" of Iraq. That's how they had to present it to the American people, anyway, who are fundamentally decent and want nothing to do with wars of conquest. His CHimperial Highness HAD to lie in order to get his way.

So now there is a new dictator in Iraq, poised to carry out brutal repression to get control of the country, which has the blessings of the Americans, just as Saddam once had. We're going to see the fucking "elections" touted as some kind of happy revolution of democracy, when in fact they are going to be as farcical as the "elections" that Saddam held.

Just as the Shah was touted as a beacon of enlightenment and modernity and stability -- in spite of ALL the evidence to the contrary not to mention the overwhelming rejection by the Iranian people -- so now will Allawi be touted as a symbol of Middle Eastern progress ALL regimes in the region will be forced to follow at the point of mighty guns.
