So when should Kerry ask Bush to disclose all his medical records?
.
I've noticed that Bush's camp have studiously avoided bringing up Kerry's prostate surgery (from a couple of years ago).

Seems like a likely thing for them to want to be snarky about, but they haven't.

I wonder why?

Afraid that Kerry might happily turn over all his medical records and demand that Bush do the same?

1. He should ask is Bush drinking?
Is he using drugs? I think we have a right to ask that question. He has a history of alcohol and drug abuse, and his behavior has been very erratic, possibly the result of chronic alcoholism and cocaine psychosis.

4. I'm too stupid to understand what you are saying.
Why can't we just focus on the fucking issues? We can win on those. I hate this tit for tat bullshit.

7. Let's talk about what we are and what the country will....
be with us in control. To focus on "*" is to make him relevent. He is a piece of crap and we become same when we keep focusing on "fundimental questions" abou his behavior.

Basically that the Repubs will do or say anything to win.
We can't agree to tie one hand behind our back because "we are above it" and then let Bush frame all the issues and lie about Kerry.

Kerry's got to fight fire with fire or he gets beaten.

8. He spent August trying to do that
He'd rather a fight like that.

But he took too much tat not to give some tit in return.

With the added bonus that he's much more articulate when he's pissed off.

11. So now we are seriously asking if Bush.....
Is on drugs? It's a classic rove strategy? Create this paper tiger of an allegation then tear it down and make us look like fools in the process.

We are going to see so many BIG stories on Shrub between now and election day. Will we embrace every one?

14. Isn't it a standard procedure for a president to
release his medical records? Or am I missing something here?

19. No I guess I was thinking
more along the lines of getting in Bush's face on Iraq and the Economy. Kerry shouldn't ask personally for his records.

He should continue to do what he's doing. Because it's beautiful.

6. Oh, yea.
Politics are all about issues, nothing else.
These games have been played for 100s years, and dirt on your opponent is what gets you elected.

Bush has been falling down one time too many, IMO, for there to be an innocent explanation.

17. Actually, it's my personal opinion
that there could be something wrong with Bush. I am in no way suggesting this somehow should be used as a campaign point.

15. Yeah, sure.
Kerry refused to hit back hard after the Swift Boat LIARS and he dipped in the polls seriously.

And you are advocating *continuing* not to hit back hard after a smear attmept?

Not good.

18. IMO, B*sh is hiding a medical problem--possibly epilepsy.
Edited on Fri Sep-17-04 01:06 AM by Mary Pat
It afflicts 30% of dyslexics.

Seizures, their after effects, and some of the medications used to control the disease could go a long way toward explaining his vacant, befuddled demeanor, as well as the little accidents he regularly seems to have. And, you know, if he takes a header that leaves no outward mark or obvious injury, we'll never hear about it. I have to wonder just how often he falls off of things.
