"Indications are the Kerry comeback may already be underway."
Dems Say Kerry Back On Track
NEW YORK, Sept. 16, 2004
CBS) By David Paul Kuhn,
CBSNews.com Chief Political Writer

“The idea of taking it right to the president,” is what Dean said he likes about the Kerry of late. “The president is a very cheerful, charming person who is not very truthful,” Dean continued. “The only way to burst through that is to take it on.”

“The president has to be engaged in a straight forward manner,” Kucinich continued. “I think Kerry’s beginning to do it. I think the campaign will start to slowly generate momentum.”

Polling by the Pew Research Center Sept. 8-10 showed President Bush ahead of Kerry by 12 points among registered voters. In a second poll, done Sept. 11-14, the presidential race was a dead heat -- President Bush and John Kerry each with 46 percent of the vote.

With less than two weeks until the first presidential debate, the presidency is far from decided. After expressing frustration following the month of August, Democrats are confident Kerry has gotten back on track.

Excellent article if you're tired of reading Democratic hotshots trashing everything about the campaign. I've also included a link to the Pew Poll Data.

1. I love CBS news and these kind of positive reports about Kerry
Why is it CBS news is the only source to report the positive news about Kerry? We should all send them an email vote of confidence for helping get Kerry a fair shake.

18. Not so
Even your, er, uh, their beloved Fox can't completely avoid reality.

NEW YORK Thoughts of the Republican National Convention (search) appear to have faded as quickly as memories of Labor Day at the beach, as less than a week after the GOP gathering in New York City the latest FOX News/Opinion Dynamics poll shows the presidential race in a dead heat.

now that will come back and bite them on the keister. Now it looks like Bush is plummeting. Serves them right.

7. Except, I find nothing "charming or cheerful" about
bush, especially when he's talking about Dems..but I know Dean has to say it in a way to make people listen.

10. Great article!
here is my favorite quote;

But you know what, the games over. Now the debate is going to center on whether the American people are any better off or any safer than they were four years ago, Kucinich insisted. I think that weve seen is a temporary lull thats now about to come to end and it will result in this one of the most powerful finishes for a candidate in a modern election. You watch Kerry catch on.

Thanks for the post!:toast:

17. Heard an expert yesterday morning who said this wouldn't happen until
next week.So Kerry's a week ahead? He also said the press likes to build a candidate up then tear down and repeat over and over because it sells papers etc. http://www.yourcongress.com
