Oklahoma Senate Poll: Carson (D) 42% Coburn (R) 35%
Read this on Daily Kos.

Looks like allegations of Medicare fraud and malpractice are catching up with Coburn.

If Dems win this state it would be big--it could be the race which decides Senate control. GOP currently holds this seat.

2. Good
I think Getting Oklahoma, Illinois and Colorado while also protecting North Carolina may get us the Senate back.

We will lose seats in South Carolina and Georgia.

If we don’t win CO or OK then we have to pickup Alaska where Tony Knowles has a great shot versus Murkowskis offspring.

4. I really think Alaska will vote for Knowles
Georgia is probably lost, but NC has been looking good for Bowles. The news in SC is that Tennenbaum is moving up and a recent Florida poll has Castor a few points ahead.

5. Mostly Agree

We're definitely going to win OK. It may be a red state as far as presidential poilitics, but these folks sent David Boren to the Senate for years and years - - they like personalities, much like the people in the Dakotas. This Coburn is a complete wackjob, and he's dead in the water with the Medicare fraud, the malpractice, and the "death penaly for abortionists" comment.

We will pick up CO and IL, and successfully defend NC, FL, and LA (albeit in a runoff). Daschle will also win. That leaves us at +1 with the "loss" of Georgia, so at worst we have another 50-50 split, but I think Knowles is going to wipe the floor with Murkowski's dimbulb daughter. Also, don't count out Tenenbaum in SC just yet - - she's enormously popular and a recent poll had her down only 44-41.

I think we may take outright control, 51 (50+1)-49. If Tenenbaum wins, it's 52-48. Who would have thought *that* was possible just a few months ago??

Good news here, folks.

8. It's looking very good for BOTH CO and OK
Last I checked, Salazaar had a healthy lead. Don't we have to protect LA too though?

12. Yeah, But . . .

They haven't had a Rethuglican Senator since Reconstruction. Chris John, Breaux's handpicked guy, will win the runoff.

13. I'm proud to announce..
that my home state has never had a Republican senator directly elected by the people. It we've ever had a GOP senator, he's been picked by the legislature.. and that was waaaay back a long time ago.

14. What's really great:
First, the polls probably aren't truly measuring the intensity to GOTV on our side.

Second, I would imagine that battles to confirm court nominees would be a bit easier with the Senate under our control..

16. Thank you, NewYawker99
Sorry so late with this...A couple of years ago, Coburn said that anyone who didn't believe in Jesus Christ was for sure going straight to Hell...Our rather large Jewish community in this Oklahoma city found that quite offensive...He's such a Whacko...
