A petition to the Mods

I know most here will disagree with my premise on the bases of they having the same rights to
be here as well as others, but, I think it's time to start looking into negative threads from
posters who constantly slammed the President and his administration.

I am not trying to stifle opinions but when you get the constant nagging and bickering we end up
with last night and this is my concern, 2010 is next door and if we don't take control now, we
loose everything. I've always believe in constructive criticism and I'm sure it is welcome by
the White House but, the constant nagging and whining about Obama has not done enough on DADT,
DOMA, Guantanamo, Afghanistan, Iraq, bringing our troops home, the list goes on and on after
awhile it gets bothersome and turns people off, so my petition to the Mods is to please up
the tempo and lets have decorum.

4. I find the use of the Ignore feature

to be very good. My ignore list is much much larger than it ever was during the shrubbo years and pretty much the only users in there are tombstones that I like to remember and the Obama sucks crowd.

I'm sure you're thread, if it's not locked will be filled with "ignores" on my screen before long.

which has rightly been called the asshole of the internet. Message boards tend to draw a lot of people that like to do nothing but get under peoples skin. I tend to think they get off on it because they can't actually talk to someone in an adult environment. They know the rules and how to get by without being banned and yet still get their jollies. Hell, if their cable goes out I think suicide might be the only option, this is all they have.

Far be it from me to say I'm much better, I sometimes enjoy pulling their strings but when it gets old I just hit the ol' ignore button and it drives them absolutely batshit. That can really be fun.

7. If you feel someone is constantly posting threads that are negative simply put

them on ignore.

The mods are never going to draw a line along the line you suggest to ban someone who is following the rules but posting certain kind of threads. I am sure that you will agree that once you start drawing that kind of line it would be impossible to implement.

37. Hutzpa, we can choose not to open those threads. I'm often not

"up for" all the impassioned debate , and I just bypass them. If I happen to open one by mistake, I just close it and move on. I only upset myself when I try to jump in and give others the benefit of my opinion . I'm not changing anybody's mind (and most people here aren't), so it's just not worth the angst.

It's up to Skinner who and what he allows here, and I'm more than happy to trust him to make a change if he feels it's needed.

Just be kind to yourself, keep your blood pressure down, and move on to a positive (or less vitriolic!) thread.
