2. I actually saw him do that live on TV
He threw in the towel on military ballots cast after the election. The GOP was trying to get more votes for Florida so they were getting people that had not voted, to vote.

5. Lieberman supported Bush on Iraq
while I don't recall Holy Joe wearing a purple band aid, as the delegates did at GOP convention, he certainly opposed Kerry on the war.

7. Joe's Dickapedia hasn't been
updated to include his most recent dickness, but it does include some early gems.

http://www.dickipedia.org/dick.php?title=Joe_Lieberman

Joseph Isadore "Joe" Lieberman (born February 24, 1942) is a former Democratic candidate for Vice President, an Independent Senator from Connecticut, a supporter of Republican presidential candidate John McCain, and a dick.

Lieberman’s strongest dick quality is his propensity to betray those who have been loyal to him. Whether it’s trading in his kind-of-Jewish first wife Betty for his super-Jewish second wife Hadassah, selling out running mate Al Gore on Meet the Press about counting crucial Florida overseas absentee ballots, or screwing over the Democratic party by campaigning for Republican presidential candidate John McCain, Lieberman has proven to be a world class stabber of backs. He probably only gets away with such treachery because he looks like the live action version of beloved cartoon character Droopy Dog.

...The only son of Marcia Lieberman and liquor store owner Henry Lieberman, young Joe won his first election, for ninth-grade class president, using a poster of himself perched on the roof of his house with the slogan “Vote for me or I’ll jump.” This actually happened and is dumber than anything we could possibly make up.

8. So sweeping Katrina investigations under the rug doesn't crack the top 15?
He promised in '06 he'd investigate the Katrina response, then stonewalled on it as chairman of homeland security. No one ever talks about this---you'd think it would be a bigger deal.

12. Excellent point, rudy23
It is true what you say about Lieberman promising an investigation of Katrina response, just to kill it as soon as he got the chairmanship.

9. If I were a Democratic Party leader and he betrayed us just once...
...Holy Joe's ass would have been run out of town on a rail. Either that, or I would have arranged for him to be caught with a live boy or a dead girl in some fleabag motel.

This guy's pathology is nothing but double-crossing behavior since at least 1994, and you would think that the party's leadership would have caught on to his act a long time ago and done something about it. The fact that the party has done nothing about any of Lieberman's treachery makes them as complicit as he is when it comes to screwing us.

In short, We the People expect this crap from Lieberman. But the Democratic Party leaders seem so shocked, shocked! when he pulls a dick move like yesterday. And they'll continue to do nothing about it.

10. I just included your list in an email I sent Lieberman
And this is the first part of the email (the list follows this)

Shame on you for consistently betraying the American people in ways that are far worse than any affair with an intern! Where would you be without your health care? This is only a fraction of the Hatriot legacy you have:

Everyone should email Mr. Lieberman. It will let him know he's not a popular man at the very least.

21. This should be the straw
that breaks the proverbial camel's back on Joe L's status as committee chair or anything else having to do with the Democratic Party in the Senate. It's enough to make even the most zealous Democrat wish for the days of Lowell Weicker.

In a way, though, I'm glad President Obama urged that L's chairmanship and seniority not get yanked immediately after the election. If they had, then after this latest betrayal all the pundits and talking heads would have been giving us days' worth of "Obama made a strategic blunder by retaliating against Leiberman" jive. Now we all can see it for what it is: Joe pandering to his base of insurance company executives and major health industry stock holders. Given the choice, he sells us out every time.

I'm hoping somebody gets him into a back room and explains to him that supporting a Republican filibuster means he spends the rest of his Senate career holding doors for Mitch McConnell.

Finally, what can you say about somebody who actually lost a debate with Dick Cheney?
