Rush Limbaugh aka Jeff Christie, who was busted in a public restroom for propositioning
Edited on Mon Oct-12-09 11:05 AM by IndianaGreen
For the benefit of the young ones in DU, and to flush out Limbaugh defenders, here is some background on the man that used a boil on his ass as a pretext to avoid the Vietnam draft:

Here, in his "Jeff Christie" phase, Rush Limbaugh worked under an assumed identity, as do many self-loathing, closeted homosexuals. After being arrested for soliciting a gay man in Pittsburgh, Limbaugh was fired from KQV radio, according to numerous sources.

In mid-2004 Rush and his third wife, Marta Limbaugh, filed for divorce. A British source has recently learned that Marta agreed to avoid disclosing Rush's closeted homosexuality, or penchant for child pornography, in exchange for a hefty divorce settlement

Political commentator, radio host, college drop-out, alleged closet homosexual, and, as recently revealed, synthetic heroin drug addict, Rush Hudson Limbaugh III is probably the best known neocon personality in American radio.

Born in Cape Girardeau, MO, in 1951, Limbaugh spent many of his formative years pursuing a career in radio.

After using his pilonidal cyst - a congenital birth defect - to avoid military service in the Vietnam War, Limbaugh briefly worked for radio stations in Pittsburgh, PA and Kansas City, MO. Fired from both jobs, he worked as a wiener salesman for the KC Royals baseball franchise, eventually slithering back into the radio business.

In 1971 Limbaugh attended Southeastern Missouri University, where, according to reports, he had a brief but heated affair with Elliot Sanders. So gay is Limbaugh, guarantees Sanders, that, "none of his marriages was ever consummated."

Many of Limbaugh's fans staunchly deny the man's alleged homosexuality, and Limbaugh himself says the rumors are politically motivated lies. However, one is forced to doubt
Limbaugh, who has a history of denying and balking at rumors that are later revealed to be true. His pilonidal cyst, his pseudonymous career in Pittsburgh radio, and his addiction to Oxycontin are all facts which Limbaugh initially denied or concealed.

After more failed stints with Missouri radio stations Limbaugh moved to Sacramento, CA, where he met and became "friends" with Norm Woodruff, a flamboyant, openly gay man with a great deal of influence in the local radio scene. Woodruff, who mentored Limbaugh in the ways of affluence and elitism (traits Rush mocks today), would later died of AIDS.

3. Senator Lindsey Graham is another self-hating closeted gay

At 52, the life-long bachelor has been fodder for such rumors for years, but with the resignation of Sen. Larry Craig, R-Idaho the anti-gay politician who pled guilty to disorderly conduct after allegedly soliciting sex in an airport men's room the internet is abuzz over who's next, and they're dying to know what's going on in Graham's bedroom. Is it the latest grasp for the light switch in South Carolina's powerful political closet? Or the inevitable labeling of "closet-clinging self-hater" that befalls any content bachelor?

Graham isn't the first South Carolina politician to face such questions. While other names are omitted from this story because they aren't at the center of national speculation (thank your lucky chinos, boys) they've reached some of the most influential seats in state politics.

9. As the documentary Outrage showed, there is only anecdotal evidence, and MSM won't touch the topic
Arkush was not entirely complimentary. He criticizes Rush for not crediting Norm Woodruff for pulling the strings that got him into KFBK, which was where he was working when he met Ed McLaughlin. Norm gave Rush that last chance (he had been fired a number of times and fallen into obscurity while working in baseball). Norm taught Rush how to dress for success and presented him to KFBK at a key moment -- upon the firing of Morton Downey. Arkush says Rush fails to give Woodruff his just credit for his involvement in Rush's success, which if it ever does come will have to come posthomolously. Woodruff died in the mid 1980's of AIDS. He was gay.

Arkush also touches on Rush's military deferrment in a less-than-complimentary manner. David Limbaugh says Rush had a student deferrment and a pilonidal cyst. Arkush found room to print lines from people who questioned the deferrments and whether Rush should be allowed to comment on matters military.

Yet Arkush either missed or just failed to take the more obvious opportunity to cast Rush in a questionable light. Ex-coworker Mary Jane Wolf recalls attending a 70's pot party with Rush. As the joint was being passed around, Wolf told Rush she didn't want any. Rush told her to act like she was busy scratching his back and he would pass the joint on without using it either. "Nobody is going to dare say anything to me," she credits Rush (then Jeff Christie) as saying. For all the guff Rush gave Clinton about attending a pot party but claiming he "didn't inhale", the truth was that under similar circumstances, Rush didn't either. Arkush never links the event with Rush's later critisism of Clinton.

These only mildly disparaging events take up only a few of the pages of the biography, which is overall complimentary toward Rush's talent, ability to think and to speak, and to capitalize on his gifts. There is an overall theme concerning Rush's insecurity, his devotion toward excellence, and his love for show business. It is Arkush's first book (he co-wrote a sports book and writes for the LOS ANGELES TIMES) and is beautifully written.

I remember people always saying this, especially when he was talking about his vacation in DR....but woah. Just woah..I wonder how the right will take this if this is taken seriously. Plus the guy isn't fair to any community unless your white racist hicks.

11. Gay and pedophile rumors have followed limbaugh since his HS days in Cape
Gay and pedophile rumors have followed limbaugh since his HS days in Cape. His mentor who launched him into national prominence was an openly, flamboyantly gay man who died of AIDS. Norm Woodruff was known to promote many young men in the radio biz who also were his lovers. A "jeff christie" was arrested in Pittsburgh in 1973 for soliciting sex from an undercover policeman in the gay pick-up area of the city. Jeff Christie was the DJ name of rusty limbaugh at a Pitt radio station. That Jeff Christie was fired the same week of the arrest of "jeff christie" for soliciting gay sex on the streets of Pittsburgh.Limbaugh has always refused to discuss this incident.

If a black man committed a crime using a firearm and the police were looking for a blackman with a firearm in the vicinity of the crime, the man would fit the profile. Get it? A white male loaded up with Viagra and going to the DR with 4 other men clearly fits the profile of a sex tourist, and raises legitimate questions. If you buy sex in the DR, the there's a good chance that prostitute is a child.

Yeah, limbaugh never goes on about gays and barney frank. Never.

20. Can we make an exception? The OP doesn't smear homosexuals, it exposes Rush as a bigot.
If he wasn't a bigot, it would or might be a smear.

I dunno...

13. 'Outrage' Documentary: Activists Outing Gay Conservatives
"Outrage" Documentary: Activists Outing Gay Conservatives

First Posted: 04-28-09 04:01 PM | Updated: 05-29-09 05:12 AM

"Outrage," a new documentary from filmmaker Kirby Dick, takes issue with the secret lives of closeted gay politicians -- especially conservative Republicans who outwardly oppose gay rights.

The film, which premiered last week at the Tribeca Film Festival, features tell-alls from men who say they've had relationships with various Republicans, including Florida Governor Charlie Crist, Bush strategist Ken Mehlman and former Senator Larry Craig.

According to Magnolia Pictures, "Outrage" is a "searing indictment of the hypocrisy of closeted politicians with appalling gay rights voting records who actively campaign against the LGBT community they covertly belong to."

In the documentary, Dick lambastes the mainstream media for not better investigating the politicians' "hypocrisy" and double lives. He told New York magazine that the film explores "the issues surrounding closeted politicians and their hypocrisy in voting anti-gay -- and how these people have harmed millions of Americans for many years."

"Outrage" premieres May 8 in five cities, including Washington, D.C.

In fact, bad people are often times closeted homosexuals who want to bugger our children.

24. No doubt much of it is based on things that might be true, but the piece is total satire.
I love me some Rush bashing, but I think it's important to stick to facts, which is his case, are not in short supply.

23. They don't want to get sued
but there is anecdotal evidence.

Have you seen the documentary Outrage, about all those closeted gays that actually work to harm the LGBT community? No one cares who sleeps with whom, but when a person of influence bashes gays while he himself engages in same sex acts, that person should be outed and condemned for hypocrisy.

26. I haven't seen Outrage, only read about it on DU. Is Rush mentioned in it? I don't
disagree with anything in the body of your post, I do believe though that with as many provable, damning facts as there are against Rush, that we have plenty to focus on that is proven.

Regarding politicians on the whole, if the info is provable, I'm all for exposing their hypocrisy.
