(IN-2) Jackie Walorski to challenge Rep. Joe Donnelly
Courtesy of Howey, it's like Christmas in October, folks:

State Rep. Jackie Walorski is preparing to challenge U.S. Rep. Joe Donnelly and U.S. Rep. Brad Ellsworth could have a credible opponent by the end of October.

Walorski, R-Jimtown, told HPI on Tuesday, "I'm moving in that direction, making the rounds and looking at data." She said that she would form an exploratory committee by next Monday.

After losing to U.S. Rep. Chris Chocola by about 25,000 votes in 2004, Donnelly defeated Chocola in 2006, by a 103,561 to 88,300 margin. In 2008, Donnelly ripped the underfunded Republican Luke Puckett by 187,416 to 84,455.

The state representative who earned the name "Wacky Jackie" due to her erratic behavior and alliance with radical right-wing activist groups is apparently going to challenge the popular (and decidedly moderate) Joe Donnelly in the Fightin' Second.

Not only is this guaranteed good fun for blogs and media alike, it almost certainly signals that the RNCC isn't taking this race any more seriously than folks in the Indiana General Assembly take Walorski.
