17. comments in any article that is linked at Drudge gets ugly fast.
It can be on any subject on any news agency ... an entertainment story, a poll, an article on fashion, on science ... if it's been linked at Drudge then the comments will all be anti-Obama hateful bile.

but what was the race thing about that Paterson tied himself to the White House?

Thanks, Hutzpa.

8. Paterson was essentially telling everyone his problems were all to do with his race
which is not true.
And he was trying to drag Obama into that fight he had with everyone. The guy is turning out to be a total stink bomb. And I had high hopes for him...being so close to NY in CT. I hope Cuomo runs instead.

10. Thanks, Jennicut.. I didn't
know Paterson himself was playing the victim on Race.

Should be interesting..Even more so if Cuomo gets into the general.

I wanted him to be Gov back in 2002 until he dropped out of the primary in deference to Carl McCall..quite the history.

12. No need to hope. Cuomo is going to run for Governor.
His approval rating is at around 67% in NY.

Given Patterson's unfavorable rating, around 75%, that's why the WH waded into this, to avoid a bloody primary season.

And, Cuomo will win the primary. But how much damage will be done? Given that Paterson came out and made this statement denigrating the President (from his own party, no less) what will he be willing to do and say when he's sinking terribly in the polls against Cuomo, and how will that hurt Cuomo in the general?

6. He's history and he knows it. He says he going to run anyway,
but he won't. I have a better chance of becoming that next Governor of NY that he does. And he knows it.

9. Paterson took something that was NOT personal and made it personal.
Pres. Obama asking him not to run was political, but hardly personal. When you look at the poor ratings Paterson has, it isn't entirely hard to see why the President would want him to step aside.

But then he goes and makes it personal by ATTACKING Obama.

What a fucktard. I hope he not only loses, but gets humiliated in the process.

13. Absolutely
the message got muddled up by someone, now who messed up is another matter,
but, from the looks of it, Gov Paterson took it as a personal attack on
him, it could be his advisers passed on the wrong message just to stir
shit up, but here is the Congressman explaining what happened;
