What will happen with the Bush tax cuts?

They are expected to expire in 2010 - a nice little mine buried back in 2001.

So if Congress and the White House will let it expire, will they, then scream about raising taxes, just in time for the Mid Term elections?

It was written into the budget resolution earlier this year. If you make less than that you keep your tax cuts.
