"Jackass-Gate" is EVERYWHERE, but where's the similar outrage over that new Bush book?
Other than this story being buried in the middle of Huffington Post, are people equally outraged over Bush's comments AND President Obama's off-the-record remarks about Kanye West?

Matt Latimer Book: Bush Knocked Other Pols While President

President Bush mocked other prominent politicians behind their backs while in office, according to a new book by former speechwriter Matt Latimer.

Last month, the Washington Post reported that ex-Bushies were feeling a "growing nervousness" over what might be in their old colleague's tome. The October issue of GQ includes some eye-opening excerpts from the book.

Of Obama, Latimer writes that Bush came in to rehearse a speech fuming. The New York Daily News reported:

This is a dangerous world," he said for no apparent reason, "and this cat isn't remotely qualified to handle it. This guy has no clue, I promise you."

Bush thought Hillary would be the Democratic nominee. "'Wait till her fat keister is sitting at this desk,' he once said (except he didn't say 'keister')," Latimer wrote.

1. He thought Hillary was going to win?
A further illustration of how clueless he is.

9. There was a long period of time up to SuperTuesday when
that was thought to be very possible. Before Iowa, it was conventional wisdom that she was the very likely winner.

cheney 3-time DUI; bUsh 2-time DUI; sex scandals; theft; war crimes; . . .

Everything is ok, as long as it's a republic doing it.

4. more disturbing trivia in the GQ piece
<...> The president looked relaxed and was sitting behind the Resolute desk. He felt hed made the major decision that everyone had been asking for. That always seemed to relax him. He liked being decisive. Excuse me, boldly decisive. The president seemed to be thinking of his memoirs. This might go in as a big decision, he mused.

Definitely, Mr. President, someone else observed. This is a large decision.

<...>

This is the last bullet we have, the president said at one point, referring to the bailout. If this doesnt work He shook his head, and his voice trailed off. That wasnt good enough for me. If this doesnt work, then what? Were done? America is over? I looked around at everyone else. What does that mean?

He repeated his belief that the government was going to buy low and sell high, and he still didnt understand why we hadnt put that into the speech like hed asked us to. When it was explained to him that his concept of the bailout proposal wasnt correct, the president was momentarily speechless. He threw up his hands in frustration.

Why did I sign on to this proposal if I dont understand what it does? he asked.

The president was clearly frustrated with what was going on, but there was little he could do at this late hour. He went up to take a nap, saying he was beat. He looked it. Id never seen him more exhausted. His hair was out of place and shaggy. His face looked drained and pale. Even more distressing, he was wearing Crocs. As I looked at him I thought to myself, how many more crises can one guy take?

5. Who's mad at Obama for Jackass-gate? I think the moment was good for him.
The vast majority of Americans agreeing with him.

13. Really
Maybe I missed something but I haven't heard any outrage of Obama calling Kayne a Jackass. He could have used far stronger language given the behavior exhibited by Kanye.

All in all it was a pretty mild comment.

It was in the news cycle for about an hour after it happened. And all I can say is it takes one to know one.

12. There's always somebody to be outraged over everything!
Outrage is losing its significance.
