The (R)'s continued obstruction on every issue is making his job much more difficult and giving HCR (and the public option/Medicare 4 All) a much higher profile than he'd like. The longer the public is exposed to the idea of Medicare 4 All, the more traction it's going to gain.

I know and use lots of motherly words too. And whenever Rahm is mentioned in the press, the first descriptor is his 'language'. That pretty weak praise for a pol whose job is to get RESULTS for the Pres, rather than just posturing.

But has anyone noticed how little effective Congressional support his boss is getting? And how he basically silenced the Progressives, who might have been willing to support the boss. I'd like President O to just dump the foul-mouth thug and get effective coalition builder - or at least a thug able to command respect. Roy Blunt has a look of contempt on his face if I have ever seen it. His face isn't flushed a bit. There is just a hint of a smirk there, the smarmy bastard. He thinks it's funny.

He is leaning forward slightly, as if to meet the challenge of the finger in his face, with his hands in his pockets. Hardly the body language of someone who is intimidated. More like, "You like that? There isn't a damn thing you can do about it." in my opinion.

Granted these people are well versed in the art of keeping their reactions under control, especially in front of the camera.
