His endorsement came at such a pivotal time in Obama's campaign and helped give him the momentum needed to clinch the nomination.

Imagine, Kennedy was such a vocal supporter of civil rights legislation after JFK's assassination. Then he worked so hard to ensure opportunities and education for all. To see his own legacy culminate in the election of the first African-American president is simply astounding. What an incredible place in history Sen. Kennedy holds.

The dream lives on...
