Health care debate going anti-Semitic

It was bad enough with birthers and bigots opposing the health care reform while attacking Obama ethnic heritage, but now it appears that some anti-Semitism has been spilled into the ugly debate.

First their is a little incident at a Las Vegas town hall were a women screams "Heil Hitler" to a Jewish man praising Israel's health care system.

Then in Dartmouth, Mass; several demonstrators infuriated Congressmen Barney Frank (who is Jewish) by calling him a "Nazi".

7. That was part of a Chris Rock stand up

routine (HBO, I think). He says he always pays attention to anti-semitism because he knows anti-Black is right underneath. These monstrous excuses for humans are beginning to wear me out.

The GOP has a real problem on their hands, which is that they behave and function just as the Nazis did, support the same basic platform, and have the exact same types of followers (right-wing authoritarians).

But their followers are already programmed to hate Nazis, and you can't have them hating themselves.

So, some Rove acolyte came up with the bright idea to deceive their flock into thinking that the Nazis were actually socialists, when in fact they were clearly not. The "Socialist" part of the National Socialist German Workers' Party had just as much to do with the Nazi's plans as the "compassionate" part of Bush's conservatism had to do with Bush's plans: they are both intentional deceptions.

Unfortunately for the Republicans, the one group of people in the United States who will never, ever buy that canard are Americans of Jewish descent. So we have the newly programmed Rush-bots go forth and start offending Jewish people by erroneously calling them Nazis.

And that's gonna hurt, perhaps far, far worse than anyone cares to guess right now. There was an Israeli intelligence agent sitting in the seat behind Mo Atta on 9/11; others were living upstairs from them while they were learning to fly. If the Israelis ever tell even a part of what they know about what happened that day and about the events leading up to it, the Republican Party is finished forever.

So I expect this little game to end real effing fast. Really fast.

I'm saying that Israel was watching those hijackers, probably at our request. We (theoretically) are not allowed to spy on our own citizens. But having someone else spy on our own citizens is an everyday practice. See ECHELON.

And no, I can't prove it. But ask yourself this: in less than 72 hours after the 9/11 attacks, a number of Israelis with apparent connections to the 9/11 terrorists were rounded up by the FBI... and then released without taking statements. Why?
