one of the ways the media or some of these shills/crackpots make pols look bad is to ask them an unanswerable question or one that throws the pol off their points or rhythm --but it doesn't work on Barney Frank. if it's a bad question, he will quickly point out the flawed premise, reframe the issue and bolster whatever point he was making. Bill Clinton could do this very well but as president he wasn't subjected to that, but Barney gets questioned by media morons all the time and has an incredible ability to respond effectively.

if i think our side is going to get ambushed, i would send Barney to deal with that. if i just wanted disciplined talking points mouthed, i'd send someone else.

in recent weeks, about something he said that day.
