3. apparently he got a good look with landing gear down

He's already inside the gate, camping with buddies.

he's gonna see what he can see. There's no public events planned. They might take them into a "secret entrance" but we don't know.
They might come into the main gate. Their itinerary is not public knowledge today.

4. UPDATE

saw motorcade, they went by the mule stables near the El Tovar...

husband parked his bike at El Tovar Hotel....security all over the place...

Husband says possibly on Bright Angel trail...he's walking down to see if he can see them or even try to get pics.

Did see some media, but can't tell which ones.

Obama going to West Rim....

Husband bummed...they have it blocked, won't be able to get photos....that he can foresee now.

6. PIC update

this was all he could get...

he said the motorcade went by so fast, that the shot he has is not worth it.

he said he ran to a clearing to get this shot, the plane was loud and you could hear it before you could see it....
can't see much, he said it was low, though. I think it's kind of neat aspect, anyway.

7. Husband is in a spot now where there is a crowd gathered.

Hopefully he can get a picture of them or the motorcade.

He said he's got to get back to camp to charge up the phone and see how the pics turned out.
