Let's come together again and unite around REAL REFORM - Single Payer Now.

The health care (excuse me, INSURANCE) reform fight has been exposed for a big fat wet kiss to big insurance and big pharm.

So, this would be THE moment to rise up and fight for ourselves.

Not tomorrow.

Not after a horrible bill that mandates the status quo is passed.

No.

The time is now.

Call the White House, call the House, call the Senate, show up at their offices, and DEMAND real reform in the form of SINGLE PAYER.
The public option has become a ruse.

Don't waste your time fighting for a empty political gesture. This whole damn public option thing would have only worked, if the negotiations STARTED with single payer and we negotiated a strong, universally available public option. They have stripped away all the necessary mandates to use the public option as real reform (rates tied to Medicare, universally available, coverage available from day 1).

It is time for all of us to stand together and say ENOUGH is ENOUGH.

People are dying.

People are seriously ill without treatment.

People are losing their homes and savings.

Fuck these people. Our LIVES are not negotiable for PROFIT. Scream it from the roof tops. Hold up signs in the streets. Conduct your own town hall meetings. No one is going to do it for us, but US.

3. There is a huge split between people who support the public option versus single payer

I supported the public option until very recently.

The definition of public option has been transformed from 'feasible, real change' to 'empty political gesture to appease those who want competition for corporate insurance'.

This is INSURANCE reform. Not health care reform.

Government forced participation in a broken system that screws the people.

2. Get the shamelessly greedy profiteers out of the picture. THEY are what is
broken in our healthcare system.

It should be a federal crime to put profits before good basic medical care.
