Realized this about Akron Beacon Journal poll comparison

Lately, the Akron Beacon Journal has taken it upon itself to "compare" how Kerry and Bush are doing versus how Gore and Bush did.

Are any of the other polls doing this:

What they are doing is looking at the polls NOW and comparing them with the ELECTION RESULTS of 2000. Again, this skews things, because, as you can tell, we are talking about two totally different circumstances.

In the Bush-Kerry polls, you don't have the real end result.

In the Gore-Bush results, you are talking about the actual turnout. Period. Not "Oh, who MIGHT turn up to vote." WHO VOTED. Period.

So, they can spin this all they want, but, as Rush Limbaugh used to be so fond of saying, the polls don't really matter. (And a week can still be a lifetime).
