With the law school graduates now being mostly female and the elected local judge positions now moving toward female candidates.
IMO the court will soon become 8 to 1 along gender lines.

Roberts appears healthy for now, but all of us can be swetp away in a matter of seconds or weeks or what have you. We're all just humans and humans sometimes die in younger years rather than older ones.
There are any number of qualified female folks who would serve admirably as Chief Justice.
