I hope the beer summit doesn't lead to any problem drinking in the whitehouse. I believe if you
have a problem with alcohol the best way to handle it is to abstain.

11. The last Whte House had a thinking problem from "not drinking".

I'll take thinking people having a beer over sober ideologues raping the country and the world. Cheers.

13. Don't you mean posing-as-sober? Cuz unless my eyes deceive me, there were
plenty of times * was decidedly NOT sober. Same with Deadeye Dick (see: the hunting expedition).

'thinking' problem.

15. Do these things keep you awake at night?
I guess I shouldn't mention the green champagne at St. Paddy's day, and never mind the other White House functions at which glasses were raised, or it might induce retroactive hand-wringing.

18. See: moderation.org
I believe if you have a problem, the best way to handle it is to drink amounts that are safely moderate for your particular circumstances.

For some people, the safe, moderate, amount is zero drinks (if one drink always pushes them into a binge), for others, they're fine as long as they don't go over a certain limit, or drink at certain times.

22. As an ex bartender, I can testify that over indulging has its
positive side in the fact that alcohol acts like truth serum at times, something Washington needs badly. I hope Obama has lots of cocktail parties and other venues where alcohol flows and senators and representatives from both sides of the aisle let their hair down and confide in each other. Let the lies be overcome with those oh truthful, foot in the mouth, moments.
