The GOP would stop all government healthcare - therefore no medicaid/medicare
no going to the ER. Just the rich being able to pay for health - as for the rest they will die and be more sick. I don't think people realize what the alternative is that is supported by the GOP.

Dems should point out only the rich will be able to afford healthcare. The GOP have no intention of paying for any healthcare that is not covered by expensive health insurance companies. What happens if you lose your job under a Republican admin. In your retirement you won't be able to pay because there will be no medicare.

Wake up!

1. Wow, You can't change dumb. These teabaggers can't see the
forrest for the trees. I have never seen a bunch of idiots. They will vote against their financial interest just because of the social issues. They are willing to receive crumps. They hate Obama. I try to tell these people that if it was up to the republicans they would get rid of medicare, medicaid and social security. These people don't care. They are worried the country is going socialist. Damn what a bunch of numb nuts.

2. This is the problem the ignorant actually vote against themselves
when these republican voters try to go to the ER or try to get medicare or medicare they will find it won't be there under a RW government.
In a depression, healthcare and social security will be the first to go.

5. I shudder to think what my parents' lives would be like sans Medicare.
My mother must undergo dialysis three times weekly. If not for Mediare, she wouldn't be here. I shudder to think.

14. Me too. My son is also on dialysis, awaiting a kidney transplant. He would die / be dead
without Medicare.

As it stands now, he will lose Medicare after a transplant, so then he will have no access to the anti-rejection drugs he will need the rest of his life. Or any of the follow up care he will need for the rest of his life.

Seriously, we have seen other transplant recipients actually lose their transplant (transplanted kidney died) because they couldn't get anti-rejection meds after being dropped from Medicare.

The public option will literally mean life or death for my son.

8. The are getting close to the tipping point/ revolt with this kind of shit
& I think they are aware of it. The last thing they want is a less than orderly change of the government.

9. Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's just what the GOP advocates.
Damn them anyhow! I'm on Medicare with a so-far effective supplemental, but damn! If that hadn't been there for us a year and a half ago, my spouse would have had to face the inevitability of a fatal conditon that could have killed him at any given moment. If you're wondering, it was an 8-centimeter abdominal aortic aneurysm, fatal if not fixed no matter how you look at it. His surgeon assured him it was a "peaceful way to go" but the fact that it could be fixed and the insurance covered it was a blessing beyond description. And in case anyone is wondering, we pay $100 each per month for Medicare Part B and because my spouse hung in there with his employer until retirement, he receives so-far excellent supplemental coverage for approximately $200/month premium (as do I). It ain't always easy, but so far we've managed to pick up our share, and oh--for those who would take this away from us--damn and double damn!

Other words fail me.

12. It is the RW intention to take away ALL government funding
the whole agenda of the RW is to be 'governed' by the corporations. No handouts. This was also Margaret Thatcher's (UIK Prime minister) agenda but she got ousted.
