Prediction: The health care bill will be better than we expect...but not perfect....
I've had the feeling a couple times lately that ultimately the democrats will cave to the public. They will see that the price of not doing what the American People want by and large, will be too great, and they will enact a public Health Care plan that will include a pretty decent public option.

but my prediction is, they will act to save their campaign "contributions" and we will wind up worse off than we are now.

edited for spelling - and to add I love the dog's picture. It looks like he took it of himself.

7. My guess is that it would depend upon whether or not you are...
personally affected by the lack of health care. Or, if you can sympathize/empathize with those who don't. "Decent" probably means a lot of different things to a lot of different people.

8. Prediction: BOHICA
There is no one at the table representing the interests of the working class. Borrowing a page from Trotsky, American workers "must take the political leadership of the whole struggle, which above all will be a proletarian struggle, then it is clear that victory in this struggle must transfer power to the class that has led the struggle."

11. Won't happen,
whatever Trotsky said, imo. Not enough Americans think of themselves as workers/proletarians.

17. Here is my prediction.
For what it's worth, there will be public option, but it will only be available for lower income earners, maybe $40,000 for a family, $30,000 for individual. Over time that threshold will be raised. This will be just the beginning of the war with the health care industry. Eventually they will ne beaten down like the tobacco companies.
