4. Photo ops are actually great so long as they're actually doing something too
They help get awareness out.

Probably with, say, Shrub's photo ops is he would pose for the cameras and that's it

10. I'd be OK with a photo op like this - if it were actually accompanied by real change
which I'm really not seeing.

***And it's the only kind you're likely to see from the Obama administration. Did you put down your Obama pom-poms long enough to see Helen Thomas take the Obama admin to task today when talking to press sec Gibbs saying she's never seen this level of secrecy and scripted events at the White House ever?!?! That includes Bush ya know. :eyes:

8. These are wonderful, NYC
It's good to see all these people at work! Even Geithner! Although I think the group Secretary Donovan is working with is planting those shrubs or perennials too close to the house. But better something than nothing!

11. # 16 is not captioned. Isn't that Lisa Jackson, EPA?
I DOOOO love this idea. It will take a lot to get the American people thinking differently about helping others and working together for the common good.

This breaks down barriers, and will eventually open up the minds of those who can be reached, and there are some out there. The Party of NO will be further marginalized. I still believe Obama's outreach to some Republicans will pay off in the end. Look at the Energy Bill in the House--without the 8 Republican cross-overs, it would not have passed. I am still pissed at the purist Dems who wouldn't even listen to Al Gore on this.
