Speaking as a person who has excellent employer sponsored insurance,
Edited on Mon Jun-15-09 05:14 PM by MoonRiver
it will be an OUTRAGE, of the most egregious, despicable kind if this democratic controlled congress does not push through a national health care, single payer, health policy. I am becoming increasingly frightened of that possibility, which smells to high heavens. Frankly, I'm starting to wonder if the only way we can have national health care is to demand campaign finance reform. Let's face it, Washington is being bought and sold by the special interests, including the AMA, big pharma, and insurance companies. I was hopeful but am now preparing myself for another shit fest on the American people.

2. Yes, it is the key. Where are the Dems on this?
A. Nowhere. Dick Durbin's bill, S. 752, sits in the Committee on Rule with three co-sponsors. I do wonder why Bernie Sanders is not a sponsor. Surely would like to know.

3. I don't see any other way.
Problem is, we have to get around all the special interest lobbyists to enact legislation against the special interest lobbyists. But, somehow, it has to happen.
