Single Payer health care and develop a grass roots team to help push a national plan. The word is that California will have a single payer system signed into law after a democrat wins the Gubernatorial election on November 2, 2010.

real reform. If you had a Dem gov, Arnold wouldn't have been able to veto the last bill that would have changed things there.

If we get California many other states and eventually the country will follow. That is how it was accomplished in Canada. One province got it, then the rest followed.

4. We need a Democrat to win in CA
I think Meg Whitman is going to be a strong candidate. She's a moderate Republican that is pretty likable.

The Dem candidates are kind of "blah" so far.

Jerry Brown could win, but he's getting up there in years.

I don't think Gavin Newsom has a shot, but he'd definitely sign the single payer bills if he did win.

6. This is how we got Arnold. Californians have to stop voting for Republicans
just because they think they are "good guys". Republicans still take their marching orders from the corporate RNC. They have to in order to get funding and that means they can't really break with the party. We have never had a good and competent governor from the right in the history of California. I would vote for Jerry Brown in a heart beat. California had a budget surplus the last time he was governor. He could turn this state around. I don't think he's too old. He lives like a monk and will probably live to be 100.
