1. 63, and the Rethugs who vote yes later apologize to Rush.
Except for Collins and Snowe. Possible other Rethug votes include Grassley, maybe Graham and McCain, and I can't think of anyone else. They are all in the tank to Rush, and scared to death of him.

3. for real? I think this could be the time where they realize they lose every time
they form a phalanx of "NO" votes. But, I could be wrong. I've been known to overestimate those assholes before.

6. 67
Actually, I think 68, but someone already has that.

And of course we have to be careful about 69 lest the RW religious idiots really get their panties in a twist. ;-)

7. If you consider that seven sitting repubs voted for her confirmation as an appellate judge
I'd predict she'll get around 62 or 63, max. Snowe and Collins are locks to repeat their votes for her and Gregg and Lugar might decide to do the same. On the other hand, my guess is that Bennet, Cochran, and Hatch will vote no this time. I'm not sure who else out of the current repub caucuse will vote for her, unless McCain decides to do something maverick-y or there is another repub who is worried enough about the Hispanic vote not to vote against her.

8. We don't have the 60 to get past the filibuster. Nelson will join the republicans in
filibuster.
