Don't EVER even mention about the TORTURERS TORTURING in the FIRST place - WE MUST INVESTIGATE PELOSI and DEMOCRATS because THEY DIDN'T STOP US FROM COMMITING CRIMES!!!

That's their latest argument in a nutshell, isn't it?!!!

Am I missing something?

15. She set herself up.
She's suppose to be a saavy politician. If she didn't know the criticism that was coming to her, well, then let that be a historical lesson that will stand the test of time.

The only thing Pelosi has on her side to defend her, is Bob Graham's journal. I suggest she stick to him like glue these days.

26. "Enhanced interrogation" you mean.
The Bushies never used the word torture to describe the crimes they committed.

And believe it or not, they never used the word crime either!

she could not have said anything, people are forgetting it was CLASSIFIED,, she would be in jail now for divulging top secret information, and have really had the Repigs up in arms, and trying to impeach her.

7. Yes, but those repub fucks didnt factor in that they will not be able to contain
the heat. Pelosi is screaming for a vindication. The rotten, thuggish, torturing fucks will not be able to squelch her demands. If she is innocent, it will turn on the thugs and the searing heat will see them extinct. I anticipate the repubs condemning the name republican into history. This is getting good.

18. their attempt to stop Pelosi from investigating them
is not going to work, if only because Pelosi's apparently stumbling response this past week is only going to further force the investigation issue.

They never considered the possibility that dems would say investigate, and let the chips fall where they may.

If what I did is so wrong in your eyes, why aren't you screaming for the head of Dick Cheny, George Bush, Donald Rumsfeld and Condi Rice? (not to mention Yoo, Rove, Myers, Gonzalez etc.

These people conceived, approved and initiated the torture program you are accusing me of being complicit in.

So old Newtie calls for an investigation on Nancy and yet Bush, Cheney and co are still not investigated. Its ass backward logic and utterly laughable.

30. That's about it.
Nancy didn't create torture, authorize torture or commit torture. She may or may not have known about it. I think the Republicans are seriously overplaying their hand. If there is a serious investigation over this, they'll be going down hard.

31. They laid a trap for Pelosi...
some have taken the bait, others see it for what it is.

A couple of the outcomes here...neither of them good for the GOP. One, Pelosi calls for an independent counsel, which will expose bush/cheney and the rest of the cabal and probably bring charges against them, (or at least a group of underlings). Two, W/O an investigation, Pelosi is exonerated of the "charges" against her...this is simple, bring Hastert into the equation, he was SOH at the time, just what did he know? This will bring other R's into the ditch, DeLay, comes to mind, and they will be exposed as the real liars in this situation, complicit from day one to the claims the former administration made for war, torture and the following disaster.

This is not over, and no matter how it pans out, it will not be good for the GOP. Cheney takes a gamble, I'd like to see a full investigation...he'd never survive, after all, at least 51% of the decision to move on torture was his.

Thing is, this is going to take time, as all things do in politics, there is no "magic" involved, it is all about time and diligent work.

32. It reminds me of a friend of mine who was going through a divorce....
He had grown somewhat alienated from his wife
after the birth of their child.

She was a type A "scheduling" freak, and he
was on the road a lot between Detroit and
Toledo as a salesman.

He began to habituate the "exotic dance" lounges
near the airport between Toledo and home, and
ran up nearly $50,000 on credit cards that his
wife didn't know about.

When she found out, she BLEW UP! (naturally).

I'll never forget the time, right before
the divorce was final, when he came over to
my house to hang out (our children were friends...)
and he told me that the divorce was HER FAULT, because
she:

"Must have known, and she didn't STOP HIM".

Yes, it was her fault, he said, and then said:

"You would never let YOUR husband "get away"
with what I did."

His behavior wasn't the catalyst, HER
not stopping it was!

And she didn't even KNOW about it until
she found out about the credit cards!

33. One of the indicators of selfishess, immaturity and downright
psychopathy is the inability to take responsibility for one's own actions. It is always someone else's fault.

The GOP right now is a big blob of decompensating psychopathy. They're melting.
