2. I Was Trying To Figure Out Why You Posted This And I Think I Got It.....
the reason he doesn't think waterboarding is torture - is because he was kinda waterboarded with beer. He thinks its a fraternity prank. Right?

3. He liked hazing--apparently invented a little butt-branding for the Dekes ...
... using a heated wire coathanger.

I liked what Garry Trudeau (of Doonesbury fame) had to say about meeting him in college: that Trudeau "knew the type". Dubya has been an *hole for most of his life.

I couldn't endure watching that film -- even the trailer made me a bit nauseous.

4. I just watched it off Netflix the other day.
It was a painful study in incompetence and laziness... and it was a relatively sympathetic portrayal. It created an interestingly coherent picture of a man who could've done all the things that W did, an internally consistent picture of a lazy idiot who thinks he's underappreciated and that, given his chance, he'll "show them all"... only to be bewildered when nothing works out according to his never-really-worked-out plans.
The portrayal of the disintegration of his relationship with Cheney, as W's increasing temper tantrums over looking like a fool are gradually directed at Cheney, is strangely satisfying to watch. Trouble in paradise...

5. Only Thing - I Don't Think He Ever Felt Bewildered As You Say.....
I think he's sitting there now in Texas saying - I was a president and you ain't.

6. You might be right.
I was talking about how the movie portrayed him.
On the other hand, while I'm sure you're right, and he would never admit it, not even to himself, I think he was genuinely bewildered at many points. I suspect that he has a talent for stopping all thought when he does feel bewildered though... so in a sense he is never really bewildered, but rather he comes to the precipice of bewilderment, and then shrugs and goes jogging and forgets all about it.
Just a theory...
