I want Obama to pick a woman
And I want it to be a tough woman. Then when Clarence Thomas harasses her, he gets to step down too.

who has had at least three abortions and attends a wiccan church.

Just to balance out Scalito and to watch Hannity come unhinged.

2. I think there is going to be alot of pressure on his to pick a minority
with different minority interests bickering over who should get it. It would be nice to have another woman on the court that's for sure.

18. True and I have no problem with that
I think it would have to be either a Latino-American or Asian-American most likely since there is already an African-American on the court.

9. We could always ignore race/gender
And choose someone highly qualified for the position instead of based on their race/sexuality/age/gender/etc. What ever happened to equality and picking people based on their qualifications?

31. yes, but I respect the need for diversity.
There is no "number" on THE most qualified person ever it is all subjective so I do not mind picking a very highly qualified woman in order to promote diversity of life experience in the court. But my personal pick would be Deval Patrick.

52. What a shame she didn't live to see the world change
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barbara_Jordan

"Jordan was a lesbian with a longtime companion of more than 20 years, Nancy Earl; Jordan never publicly acknowledged her sexual orientation, but in her obituary, the Houston Chronicle mentioned her longtime relationship with Earl.<5><6> After Jordan's initial unsuccessful statewide races, advisers warned her to become more discreet and not bring any female companions on the campaign trail.<1><7>

Jordan met Earl, an educational psychologist who would become an occasional speechwriter in addition to Jordan's partner, on a camping trip in the late 1960s."
