The End of Conservative Talk Radio?
"The dirty little secret of conservative talk radio is that the average age of listeners is 67 and rising... What's more, it's the Internet that is the fast-growing and arguably more powerful political medium -- and it is the province of the young and liberal. The only sensible market view of conservative talk is that it will contract and be reduced, in the coming years, to a much more rarefied format."

4. I happen to know several such... kids of fundie parents I went to school with
They're considerably more liberal than their parents on most issues, especially (and surprisingly) gay marriage. The only issue I see them being just as conservative on as the last generation is abortion.

9. The aborition rate rose under Bush
IF the abortion rate declines under Obama with no fundamental alteration of the Roe V. Wade decision, perhaps the evidence may point to the pro-choice approach being the most effective in decreasing the ioverall number of abortions.

Just a thought, we may win them over even on that issue before it's all said and done.

3. There will ALWAYS be an audience of morons for the hate spewed by the reich-wingers.
Just like the hope that all the racists would have died off by now, s o m e d a y in the far future that better reality may exist, but it is not on the horizon.

5. There are plenty of young RW'ingers to replace the old guard.
I know. They live all around me. And they breed.

Wishful thinking on Vanity Fair's part, but I don't see it happening.

7. I can.
Break up the massive corporations pushing the shit.

If it weren't for Clear Channel and other corporate conglomerates, Thom Hartmann would be on as many stations as the Oxycontin addicted pedophile is. And beating his ass in the ratings on every last one of them.

8. Like anyone's hot issue is turning over that horrid Telecomunications Act of 1996.
Sad to say but bigger fish to fry. It will never happen.
