Does anyone know? Has there been an official announcement? Is he going to be talking in primetime once a month until the financial crisis is over?

1. just curious why you are asking
I believe it would be a good thing for him to hold monthy conferences in light of what is truly a crisis

7. Well for admittedly selfish reasons
People can flame me if they want, but these things are coma-inducing for me. Since I actually keep up with things, I generally know what Obama will say before he says them so I'm not learning anything new. Also, in the age of cable TV and Internet, these pressers airing on every channel seems pretty outdated to me.

cable TV and Internet to tune in.

I was in a Target the other day and was told by a sales clerk that 130 digital converters sold out in one day -- not everyone is of "the age."

13. sorry it bores you, but you don't have to watch
and we don't all have to give up press conferences because they are boring.

and i know how Hamlet ends and thanks to the internet i don't even need to read it to find out. doesn't mean they shouldn't perform the thing here and there.

3. They can't be. It will take at least 6 weeks to carve the stone tablets
for the next one by my estimate, and that's if Obama doesn't get sidetracked by a puppy or some other damn nonsense or some silly piece of legislation or visiting foreign dignitaries.

5. I haven't heard, but MAYBE. He's teying to get the American people to pay
attention and contact their reps & sens if they're upset about something. Hell, you can even contact him via whitehouse.gov

What's your problem with a monthly presser?

6. That's a GREAT IDEA!!! America needs to become a little more well-informed.
And Obama is just the person to deliver the goods.

Awesome!

10. No. They won't be. President Obama walked into office facing a shit storm
and cannot allow the now rabid media to define his message.

After the budget passes it will slow down.

Right now, he has to have direct access to the people as the once slumbering media has now awoke to a Democratic administration and is in a feeding frenzy.

And if you are up on everything, good for you. The other 75% of Americans are not.

12. I heard on Keith's show
When he was talking to Chris that Obama is going to either have one every 6 weeks or just have another one in 6 weeks. I think it's a good thing. We get info here, but the populous is still asleep.

14. If they are, the media will complain about how much he's on TV
and if they aren't, the media will complain that he won't face the American people.
