How dare Pres. Obama talk to the American people!
He should obviously leave this to the wonderful unbiased media. I mean, they speak the truth, right? So why not just let them discuss his proposals and his presidency?

That's what they're there for, right?

Can I get an Amen?

4. Why do we need him to speak to us?
I would much rather have the media, or a pundit, tell me what he said, they can edit it so it gets straight to the point. I wouldn't have to spend so much time listening to the whole thing.

5. Overexposed = "Look how much the people love him". They can't stand it.
They'd prefer that he stay barricaded in his office and keep his mouth shut like his predecessor.

8. The "overexposed" meme is hilarious...
... I mean, come on, the MSM would be lambasting Obama if he wasn't doing this, right? I can just imagine the scenario if Obama was "less exposed": "Where's our president?", "Obama in hiding!!!"... would be just a sample of the alternate MSM memes (that they would have had ready to go). This is a good example of the MSM fucking with Obama no matter what he does. However, the "over-exposed" meme does ring a little hollow, eh? Jeez.

11. The airwaves belong to the PEOPLE. Not to corporations.
We lease the right to use public airwaves to the various networks, but they do not OWN the airwaves. If Obama wanted to, he could simply take one hour of primetime network TV every week. So what if that means the networks have to rearrange their precious shows. I don't think the country is going to collapse if American Idol gets bumped back a day or two, or if people have to wait an extra thirty minutes to see who Jack Bauer is going to torture next.
