The very fact that people on here read a Nobel winning economist
and debate what he has to say is one of the reasons I come on here and am proud to be part of this online community.

1. On the other hand, the fact that so many take the sides of Wall Street Criminals over Mr. Krugman
is one of the signs that old DU ain't what it used to be :evilfrown:

3. Who is a wall street criminal that folks are siding with?

But what I do know is that Hyperbolic language like that doesn't help
you make a case of reasonability.

4. The Three $tooge$ - Geithner, Summers, and Rubin
(somebody who's good with Photoshop help me out here)

As far as "reasonability" goes, this fucking country is on the verge of permanent collapse because of 28 years of these bastards doing the same thing that almost killed us in the early 30's. FDR tried to keep it from happening again, and until 1980, they were restrained well enough.

I'm done being "reasonable" with these people. They are criminal thugs destroying my country and I want them in prison or dead, not continuing to steal trillions of our dollars for themselves.

9. Even Nobel Prize winners can make mistakes on occasion
:hide:

(but I can forgive him for supporting Hillary a lot sooner than I can forgive Timmy the Keebler Elf for continuing to help the Wall Street Whores)

14. As you said.
The rabid Sean Penn crowd strikes again.
Hillary would still be better than any Republican.
Far left loons would never see that though.

7. Oh, so people aren't allowed to disagree with him? So much for freedom of speech.

12. i don't have an issue with people disagreeing with him, but saying he wants to destroy Obama
and calling him a freeper, well that's just ridiculous.

11. Yes, it's terrible that some people don't always agree with you.
What a world, what a world.

13. Nah, what's terrible is the way that some people fall all over themselves defending scumbags
Who wouldn't leave their mansions to piss on you if you were on fire. And continue to perpetuate the lie that we have to keep these thieving leeches happy to "save the economy" when the last 28 years has proven the exact opposite is true.

17. And comments like this are what sometimes make DU unbearable.
It's beginning to remind me of Dubya's "You're either with us or against us." Despite what you may think, Krugman is not the polar opposite of Summers and Geithner. And there actually are ideas other than those espoused by Summers/Geithner or Krugman. It's possible that neither Summers, nor Geithner, nor (dare I say it) Krugman have a certain fix for the world's economic problems.

I don't know why I've always assumed that most liberals are capable of more than binary thinking.

2. Yes, and DEBATE!
SO glad you said that! SOME appear to think that considering OTHER points of view is nearly criminal. (That sort of approach, of course, is an example of why the 1st Amendment is so important!)
