Larry Wilkerson frightened by Domestic Nutballs ginned up by Cheney, Limbaugh, etc.
I was glad last night that Wilkerson said this on Rachel Maddow's show. I've been frightened by the same idea that these fear-mongerers that we saw from the McCain/Palin campaign to now are being ginned up to commit another domestic terrorist act or assasination attempt by the rhetoric of Cheney, Limbaugh, Hannity, Goldberg, and the other RW nutballs with a microphone.

WILKERSON: I am really concerned about - what I started to be concerned about when John McCain and Sarah Palin were campaigning. I saw the fringe of the McCain rallies and I didn‘t like what I saw. It frightened me.

And I think people like Rush Limbaugh and now Dick Cheney, former vice president as you pointed out and as everyone knows, are doing some of that fear-mongering, too. This is not good. There are some crazy people in this country. There are Una-bombers. There are Lee Harvey Oswalds. There are Sirhan Sirhans. And these are the kind of people that listen to this kind of fear-mongering and it‘s dangerous and so someone‘s got to start talking out about it.

1. Be aware, but don't let fear drive you. That is what Cheney wants
He is a brinksman. He has nothing but fear to sell, and 99% of his fear product is unwarranted.

2. I'm not letting fear drive me
But I also lived during the 60's when hate was ginned up against JFK, MLK and RFK. And I still blame Republicans, Limbaugh, G. Gordon Liddy and the black helicopter nutcases for the hatred they spewed against the federal government, Bill Clinton, Janet Reno, BATF, etc. Plus their using of Ruby Ridge and Waco that help enable the militia movement and motivated Tim McVeigh and his cabal to bomb the federal building in Oklahoma City.

3. Yes, so was I and there were others of us alive as well.
Imagine that. Lots of us have lived through frightening times.

The lesson is if we react in fear, we enable people like Dick Cheney to "Work the dark side." Even he told us that was where fear was going to take us. And it did.

5. We need to speak out against this crap
That's not reacting in fear. We can't sit there chanting "I'm not afraid. I'm not afraid" and expect that magically the nutballs aren't out there planning.

IMHO we're too quiet about this crap.

I've emailed one of our local nutball radio stations & the host protesting that running crap like having Birther Berg on is helping to stoke their listeners hatred against Obama & if anything happens they will blood on their hands.

We need to react when media allows this crap or doesn't speak out against it. That's not acting in fear

4. Not a fan of Wilkerson but agree, completely.
What Palin was doing during her KKK rallies scared me, too. There were people burning effigies of Obama and remember all the hate email? He's right, imho.
