Could Obama have gotten confirmation for a Treasury team
whose members were not tied to the Federal Reserve, big banks and Wall Street? I'm thinking hat if he'd tried to bring in outsiders, he would have been accused of appointing inexperienced people.

1. He couldn't get confirmation of outsiders at the top
but he could bring on respected academics to fill out the team.

2. Having watched the DC Workings over the years, I will sound like
a real "cynic". There is a pattern that occurs over and over.
Democrats must bring in Wall Streeters. They have to prove
themselves to Wall Street.

Wall Street knows the GOP is party of Business. They know their
philosophy is No taxes, No regulation, Greed is good. It is my
understanding that had the GOP won the election, Phil Gramm, Tex
would have been Sec.Treas. Need I say more???

This is why I say give Geitner a chance. You are better off with
the devil you know than have the devil you do not know foisted
upon you. IMO, Geithner's main problem is PR. He does not look
like some old tough guy that the BOOMERS in the Media can trust.
I am no spring chicken but I am ready to let the younger ones
show us their stuff. The BOOMERS have not produced one statesmen
that they can agree on. They fell down on the job.

Yes, Obama will have to pull in Wall Streeters.
