We all need to do a little less tying to one another and lot more talking to our congresspeople and neighbors. ;)

4. we have a canvassing thing..

going on this week-end. It kind of sucks, because my representatives will vote for the budget. I guess not many people here have anything going on..so I suppose we'll have to contact people from out of state. Feels like a waste of time. I mean really..who cares?

5. My Congressman will be voting for the budget too - just called him to make sure...

...he's still onboard. Public awareness re the budget and plans is important, but I'm not sure canvassing is the way to go ~ maybe visibility/information tables at farmers markets and public events would be better.

I've heard rumors that Sen. Casey is part of Bayh's group ~ if that turns out to be true, I'll be involved with pressing him to support the budget.

meeting up with real people, and having some positive productive conversation. We're targeting high traffic areas, so it doesn't sound like we'll be knocking on any doors. As I said, probably a waste of time, but getting a positive perspective is probably worth it. Much better than being here anyway.

...especially enjoyed registering voters at our farmers market ~ people are always in a good mood there on Saturday mornings.

Our Congressman is with Obama, but we may have to get people to push our Senators.

12. Yeah, basically. It's a good way of connecting Team O's objectives to folks who may have doubts.

It's part of the Pledge Project. Also, I have a MoveOn team that is going to organize to support the budget, too.
