Just to prove that I am not always disappointed in Obama's choices
I am stating, for the record, that I am thrilled that he has lifted the ban on embryonic stem cell research.

I am also thrilled that he is beginning to pull science off the back burner that Bushco had it on.

1. Indeed! This is one of the best things I'm seeing, myself.
GWB, (Spit!) had no belief in, feeling for, nor love of science. If facts about, say, climate change, were oppositional to his policy--that fact didn't exist for him. Denying testable data is ridiculous to me. From what I have observed of Obama, he'll hava a better grasp of science and it's importance.

3. Yeah, that's the thing around here
You have to establish your bona fides or you risk being slimed by the Purity Police, who will brook no criticism of the administration. They remind me of the commissars from the old CCCP.

4. But who cares about them? These are DUers who have the same
blind non-thinking support towards Obama that the 28%ers had for Bush. It's an emotional reaction that doesn't deserve anything more than laughter.

5. What's laughable is the fucking right wing spewing of this hero-worshipping, cultist,
kool-aid drinking meme that keeps getting thrown around here.

Followed up with Obama = Bush and Obama Supporters = Bush Supporters.

Nothing like dropping trou and showing a little ass.

6. I haven't seen any Obama=Bush so I'll just have to believe that you
have seen this at DU. Nor have I seen Obama supporters = Bush supporters. However there are zealots on both sides - it's a human characteristic - not restricted to Republicans or Democrats.

"Nor have I seen Obama supporters = Bush supporters"

Do you even understand what you post yourself?

And yeah mostly it's been Obama = Bush lite.... my bad there.

8. You seem to have a comprehension problem or maybe you are just assuming. Clearly the
zealot Obama supporters are not Bush supporters because Obama and Bush are not the same. It's the zealotry that is similar not the policies, principles, or people they support. Are you really trying to say that only Republicans can be zealots?

10. Nope just clarifying because you seem to be having difficulty
understanding. It seems that you aren't interested in understanding though, just kind of stuck in your black and white thinking. Got it.

most important things, anyway to me. I am still thrilled about that. Kudos to our President.:toast:

12. That's like being thrilled that the sun came up today.
It's obvious. If you're not happy about Obama lifting the stem cell ban or respecting science, then you are at the wrong site.

I've never pegged you for an Obama hater, though I know others have. But if you want to prove that you don't hate everything Obama does, try harder.

13. Try harder?
I think we live in a great system, being able to criticize our leaders with very little impunity. That said, I am still going to do my part to hold the Obama administration's feet to the fire whenever I disagree with the policies set forth by the administration. Which is my right.

I can also freely express (which I just did), when I am happy about policies enacted by Obama.

I just wanted to say it here, so that the people that do have me pegged as an Obama hater can see that I am not always disappointed. In fact, other than Proposition 8, I was thrilled that Obama won.
