and blaming Obama for having too-tough standards to fill his admin. under Geithner? NOW they're saying the market has no confidence because Obama still hasn't filled the positions in his financial dept., and he shouldn't worry so much about one or two past problems if the people are qualified, that he should just get some people in there already? Can you imagine if he chose ANY more people who had ANY problems (tax problems, etc.?) What hypocrites!

3. Treasury should be the number one staffing priority right now.

And the place I first saw this was Josh Marshall's TPM blog where he blamed fear of Republicans being assholes for it.

I'm seeing the serial failures to pay taxes as a symptom of the ridiculousness of our tax system. Its simply too complicated.

and the Repubs. probably WILL jump all over him for it if he appoints someone not perfect. Maybe he should just go for it and if the Repubs. complain, the Dems. could make ads showing clips of all the pundits saying how he should not let little problems get in the way.

I never would have thought that was a criticism..high standards. Some people dropped out and postions needed to be filled. They will be filled. No administration has all positions filled that fast, but somehow Obama must be held to a higher standard. Where were they with Bush is what I ask myself repeatedly.
