Two words: what I think REALLY gets under Limbaughs skin about Obama.
Michelle Obama.

Limbaugh would never be able to attract a woman of her caliber, beauty, grace, charm, intelligence and education to him. He never has and he never will, despite his millions.

His marriages to nobodies (sorry if that is unkind), his pill addiction, the grotesque search coming back from the Dominican Republic with a bottle of Viagra under another person's name, and his vile ravings about women, show exactly what this man is: a LOSER.

He must be enraged every time he sees the Obamas together. I'm beginning to feel sorry for him. His life must be a living hell. This man does not have a future. I see a bad fate coming to him, probably by his own hand...

Two words: He's black.

Rush is a horrible fucking racist at heart.

4. I'm sure that's part of it too. I was going for the intensely personal here.
I often suspect underlying psychological pathology with people like Rush. He has a deep seated self hatred. The vision of Michelle Obama has got to be achingly painful to a man like Rush. With all he has, he will never have her. There is much literature and art on just this subject...gotta have some basis in truth...

14. Exactly. It was one thing to have Clinton in the WH
But Clinton was a white guy. To Rushbo, that is at least an adversary that he can deal with and respect on some level.

But a black guy in the WH is not supposed to happen, in Rush's world. It's just supposed to be impossible. He can hardly deal with it. The unthinkable has happened. A black guy is proven to be of a higher character, higher talent, and better everything, than Rush. Just not supposed to be!

25. Not listening to Rush obviously
You find him to be no worse on Obama than he was Clinton?

Granted, Clinton's inability to avoid sex scandals gave Rush material that Obama doesn't give him.

But did Rush come out and say he hoped Clinton failed?

28. He was accusing Clinton of murder and hundreds of crimes...
And he spent the first six years of Clintons presidency advertising for women to say they had sex with him, the sex scandal didnt happen til the last two years of Clintons term. Limbaugh will say anything, always has and always will.

29. I thought there Gennifer Flowers was an issue even during the election
And to accuse Clinton of murder took something to base it on, however specious.

But these things are personal. Rush hopes Obama fails which is political and affects us all.

38. I agree he was horrible - and after the OKC bombing Clinton blasted him
In reality, I think that ANY Democrat bothers Rush. I also doubt that it is Michelle, though she is gorgeous - I assume he is too much a racist to accept that. I also doubt the reason he hated Bill Clinton - and he did - was HRC, though she was quite pretty then and obviously intelligent (not that she isn't attractive now - but then she was in her 40s). I assume that the intelligence, accomplishments and most of all the fact that they all were not submissive and were willing to speak out would have made HRC. Tipper, Teresa, and Michelle all "not his type" - not to mention he would disgust all of them on many levels.

He also had a visceral hatred for John Kerry - he even had the nerve once to compare Kerry to Reagan saying Kerry would be too scared to fight the communists (there I do think he resented that we had the war hero). I would think it could be Kerry's east coast cultural elite ties, the fact that he was a hero to as much as half of his generation and that Teresa was a very wealthy, beautiful Republican - but Rush was from a very prominent family from MO (with roots in Arkannsas) versus Bill Clinton being the son of a poor single mother.

I think he just hates Democrats.

33. Wrong . . .
Sex scandal. Not plural. Don't believe the propaganda from the Pubbies and Media. One indiscretion in a loving marriage of 30 years. I'm sure he regrets that and has recommitted to Hillary. He must be very proud of her now. I'm glad that she stood by him and repudiated all the allegations against Bill.

The fact is that even Betty Curie worried about Bimbo eruptions. This is part of who Clinton is - and HRC accepts him for his better characteristics.

23. I never saw one ounce of respect from Rush toward Clinton
I'm not saying he's not a racist, I'm saying he was just the same to Clinton.

The right formed and funded a group of very smart (smart in the high IQ sense) people to impeach Clinton. The group formed in November 1992, within 2 weeks of the Clinton's first election to the WH. Ted Olsen was one of the founding members of that group. They had unlimited funding. It is my hope that there is no funding for a like group with Obama.

Here's what I don't get about the right at all. Which one of these statements is correct?

1. The right knows their role is to protect the rich and they struggle to find a way to hide that truth from the masses so they can win elections. Because they have nothing else to say, they attack. This supports why the GOP is more attractive to men. Men are raised with the burden that they are responsible for supporting the family. That makes acquiring wealth far more important to their manhood than it otherwise might be. Problem is, they can't come out and say "I need to be rich to validate my existence."

or

2. The right is so convinced they are right, even with no evidence, the very thought that someone might believe differently must mean that democratic leaders are evil, propagandists, who have hypnotized the masses and led them astray with promises of a free lunch.

I think there are some of each in the GOP.

is his poor cat. Since all of this attention started, I learned that he lives with a cat. I read a quote by the limpballs in which it said that she (the cat) only shows up to be fed and then disappears within the house. Smart kitty, but that cat needs companionship. Do you think we could rescue her?

12. There are many with those issues.
We probably all have them to some degree, but I agree, from the outside looking in on people with his fervor and yet not thought, it is painfully obvious, and you have to hope he figures it out.

Method one. receive information -> think -> accept you were right or wrong -> deal with issues, that might be caused if you were wrong.

Method two receive information -> if it conflicts with what you believe, and therefor makes you face something you don't want to -> find illusionary reason -> keep believing ignoring what is obvious.

But there is another stage, once a person starts down the second route, they can not stop and look at themselves or think, if they do, then they will have to face not only a fleeting thought, but a realization of the past, and many years of living.

It gets difficult to change for them, since to change, a person must accept they were wrong, then they must find a way out of the guilt and ego issues, many times the method is instead just to not accept they were wrong, and charge ahead, not because they think it is right, for it is not based on thought, but because to admit they were wrong is to much for them to face.

(Someone who supports Rush who read this, would get upset when they reached the part, 'accept they were wrong', this is what I am talking about. The anger is a defense when POV is challenged to change. They would want to call me arrogant, or think how wrong I could be, not realizing that is irrelevant to the point.)

This is one of the reasons the freepers are sounding so crazy, they need it for reasons of ego. I am sure some of them really believe (partly based on willful ignorance), since that helps people from keeping info from challenging a point of view they hold. I would think they could say the situation has changed, and use that to help there ego. Or say they were deceived and understand better now, or say they were just to scared to try and stand up, or say they were doing what others were doing without understanding, or just say they didn't think on it long enough. All of these could help them through the ego thing. But many, as said above, would have to admit they think there group is better, or that they really don't care about others, and they just haven't found the way to do that.

I am not grouping all people of one party in this group, I am talking about my observations of some people in both parties, but mostly right now the GOP.

(We all have similar issues in one way or another, we all have problems, I am not trying to sound like I think I am better, but I just know that facing my own issues, and at least accepting I have faults, and learning to move on, and do better, can change an entire way of thinking.)

Note: Religious and spiritual stuff is outside of ability to think through completely, it requires some faith, in that you have to accept a paradox that something can not be logical, but is because nothing is logical from the data set. There is no explanation that can be completely understood, so you have to literally pick one based on, well based on what your made of, and what you see the effects are(the fruit), even though the mechanisms will not fit a flow of logical sequences or cause and effects.

13. I think you're onto something
Obama is definitely a family man, with a happy marriage and two beautiful children.

This is what Comedian should have, according to his rantings. He is "successful" and "talented" and has millions, so according to the world as he believes it to be, he should have a successful marriage and some beautiful and successful children by now. He shoud either have a wife of his own age who looks great still and -3 gorgeous and SUCCESSFUL children in their early 20s or he should, probably preferably, be married to a beautiful woman 20 years younger, with 2-3 kids about the Obama girls' age.

Not having this shows that Comedian had not met his own standards.

Rush has no one around him right now who remembers him before he was Rush Limbaugh (literally).

Having people who remind you of who you were before you made it help to remind you of who you truly are as a person. It's something that cannot be purchased.

32. I think there may be something to that. Just as one of the things he
hated about Bill Clinton was Hilary Rodham Clinton. Both Hilary Clinton and Michelle Obama are strong, successful individuals in their own right. Something that R. Limbaugh would NOT be able to deal with in his personal life. However, I believe that, subconsciously, he envies both President Obama and Former President Clinton the relationships they have with their spouses.

President and First Lady Obama are, as a couple, much stronger than either one of them alone. The same could be said of Former President Clinton and Secretary of State Clinton.

R. Limbaugh is capable of seeing what a relationship with a strong independent spouse has done for both of these men and he is very envious. And, subconsciously, he recognizes this is something he will never have - based simply on his own inability to respect women.

I highly doubt R. Limbaugh is capable of respecting any woman.

Yet, the regard which each of these US Presidents' has for his spouse is readily apparent.

Whether you liked Former President Ronald Reagan and Nancy, or not, you were never in doubt of the esteem in which he held her either.

I don't believe R. Limbaugh likes/liked Nancy Reagan either, but he has to watch what he says about her, because his base would not be so tolerant of his lambasting their patron saint Former President Ronald Reagan or Nancy Reagan.

In short, I think some of R. Limbaugh's unadulterated hatred of President Obama could stem from his own ability to respect a woman - and, by default, decrease his regard for any man who does respect women.
