Recent poll showed Bush with higher favorable rating than LimbaughRon Brynaert
Published: Tuesday March 3, 2009

Republicans appear to be bowing down left and right to conservative pundit Rush Limbaugh, even though most Americans view the radio talk show host unfavorably.

In fact, polls by Gallup in February show that Limbaugh has less favorable ratings from the mainstream public than former President George W. Bush. But while members of Congress and presidential aspirants spent most of the last two years trying to run away from Bush, Limbaugh's power seems to be expanding.

"In a February Gallup poll, 45 percent of respondents said they had an unfavorable view of Limbaugh, to 28 percent with a favorable opinion. The partisan divide was steep, with Republicans favoring Rush 60-23, while Democrats disapproved 63-6," Howard Kurtz writes in Tuesday's Washington Post.

1. The bush depression should cause people to re-think this.
If not that, then consider that he almost became a dictator.

2. As much as I loathe PigBoy, I agree.
Limbaugh's nothing but a damn bully. Bush, on the other hand, was in the position to do much, much more harm to the nation (and really, the world)..and he did. Big time. We're still paying for his blunders and will probably be for a long time to come. Limbaugh's just a talk radio host who gets far more attention than he deserves (though I'm not exactly complaining at the moment, as this can only spell doom for the GOP..which can only mean good things for us )

3. I think limpbaugh, over the years, with
his big bullyhorn of hate has spread untold damage in the form of brainwashing those who don't like to think for themselves..and he's still going on.

I'm glad Obama brought him out from under his rock and shined some light on his hate radio..it's about time someone did.

I know bush had the puppet position to do more immediate harm but could he have done it without hate radio and the corporatemediawhores?

He definitely enabled him and he's obviously lying when he says he opposed his economic agenda. I don't really remember him ever standing up to Bush on anything? He's only running away from him because it's now the "cool" thing to do, apparently, with the CPAC crowd (who'd have ever thunk it?). But then again, it's really their only option if they can ever even hope to have some semblance of relevancy again (though it's transparent as hell).
