Seriously, you failed MISERABLY. You had a, dare I say, a good weekend. You held your own and were endearing during Tavis Smiley's State of the Black Union and with DL Hugley and Chuck D on CNN. While I continued to have my doubts about you I did think your appearances this weekend were good. The easiest way for Democrats, moderates and independents to start taking you seriously was for you to continue you your fight with the pill popping bigot, but you gave in.

It was as if Limbaugh said to him "Say BOY, shut up you know your place and being a good little darkie."

2. Wow. I just think the rethugs are so confused. It's not black or
white. It's anti-Dem, however it happens, even if they had to ignore the rest of the country.

Epic fail.

4. I'm sorry but when I heard Limbaugh's tone I just wonder if he would have talked to white RNC chair
. . .like that. . .it is as if he was putting Steele in his place.

19. Thank you.
As you posted:
Rush Limbaugh baselessly asserted of Sen. Barack Obama: "Do you know he has not one shred of African-American blood?" Limbaugh continued: "He's Arab. You know, he's from Africa. He's from Arab parts of Africa.... {H}e's not African-American. The last thing that he is is African-American."
:wtf:
There was also a time where he told an African-American woman who called in to his show, "to take the bone out of her nose." :puke:

7. I'm not wondering. I don't think he'd have talked to a white RNC chair that way at all.
I was wondering if the was going to call Steele "boy".

Regards

3. He's always been a failure. I don't care about his political
leanings, but he's never been offended by racism from his own party. He's a creep of this worst kind. He's a big wimp!

5. It's especially funny, because what republicans WANT to say is...
"See? That's what happens when you put a black man in charge of things."

But they can't really say that, because Obama is doing so well.

(Well, they CAN say it, and likely will/are - but it's just extraordinarily laughable.)

They simply don't get that black folks are not all the same. They're kind of like - you know - PEOPLE - in that way. There are good ones, and then there are Michael Steele's.

9. I wish D.L. would invite Steele back. I bet he'd refuse. What would he say when
Hughley asked him why he apologized to Rush after Rush slammed him the way he did? He proved D.L.'s and Chuck D's point!

11. Steele is probably going to be quiet for a bit and let rush handle
things. I'm sure they gave him a good talking to about hanging with too many black folks this weekend. He better chill out.

10. LOL !
So much for the " hip hop " strategy. Getting punked like this is just baad...

Windy, I salute your optimism and the hope you held out for this brother, but he, like many others I've seen through the years are totally bought and paid for. They will always have a place on the " wall of shame."

12. What I find interesting about Steele is
he comes across intelligent, even likeable, when his audience or interviewers are black - Tavis Smiley/DL Hughley. When he is talking to his base, he uses terms like "bling-bling." It makes absolutely no sense to me.

16. Yeah, that about explains it....
Did you see this one? He was at Tavis Smiley's 2008 State of Black America event and admitted, volunteered even, that "politics, party never ever trumps race."
